Dr. Benga has completed the Psychiatry Residency at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan (Columbia University affiliate) and the Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Yale University in New Haven, CT.

She holds certifications by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry.

In addition to her psychopharmacological background, she is trained in various modalities of psychotherapy and has completed the Psychodynamic Psychotherapy program at New York University.

Dr. Benga's experience includes Medical Director of the Opioid Treatment Program at The Addiction Institute of New York. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University School of Medicine, teaching and supervising residents and addiction psychiatry fellows.
